Winter at Schoone Oordt
Sleeping in, reading in front of the fire, endless cups of coffee, hearty food and great wine are what we’re all about during winter at Schoone Oordt. With life’s hectic pace these days we could all do with some more downtime and the cooler weather is the perfect excuse to take a break, stay in and really rest.
As if you need more reason to visit us in Swellendam this winter we’re also offering a special discount when you book directly with us during the winter (follow this link to book now).

Rain appreciation…therapeutic and we say a legitimate winter pass time.

Comfort is key and our rooms set up for some serious R&R in mind.

Coffee in bed. In front of the fireplace. Isn’t that what winter days were made for?
Cozy up in front of the fireplace all day in any of our luxury rooms and take some well deserved time for yourself. Murkier weather doesn’t have to mean staying indoors all day though. If you’re up for a bit of a damp adventure on rainy days grab an umbrella and stroll down Swellengrebel Street where you are sure to find great coffee shops (we highly recommend Ikigai), beautiful art galleries and gift shops a plenty.

Take those feet for a stroll down Swellengrebel Street.
If you feel like a bit of sunshine head over to The Conservatory for a cup of coffee or for Afternoon Tea. Even on rainy days our beautiful conservatory has a sense of sunshine and will brighten up your day.

Need your coffee fix, no problem. Fidney is a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur (a very talented one we might add) and makes some of the best lattes and cappuccinos.
The Conservatory is also an easy and top choice for dinner. Our Winter Menu has a variety of hearty, South African dishes and something for the little ones too, of course.
Swellendam is absolutely gorgeous in the winter but we won’t blame you if you decide to stay in this winter at Schoone Oordt. Enough convincing now, come visit us to see for yourself!
Absolutely gorgeous!!
xx
Thank you lovely! Missing you. Perhaps a winter visit is in order? 🙂
