The Cake Faerie

Fae has completely taken to creating in the kitchen and she is truly talented. Truly. We are super proud. She bakes the most divine gooey chocolate brownies for our Afternoon Teas quite regularly, but she also bakes cakes, cookies and has completed quite a few birthday orders already. Here she is making the most delicious lemon cake. My favourite! The more lemony, the better!

In the interest of full disclosure, she does bake with a mask on, but we took it off for the photos! It’s been difficult for Fae growing up as she is so different to her siblings. She thinks she can’t draw and she is not academic, so, she’s always felt as though she’s the odd one out. Her talent for baking and the amazing feedback that she has received for it, has enabled her to find her niche and grow in confidence. This, along with quite an astute business sense, means that we really don’t have to worry about her… She’ll be more than fine.
